Milo #55411 February 2019

Milo, this sweet puppy boy was brought in by someone after a friend of a family member gave him up. He was underweight and covered in feces.

At the Manhattan ACC Milo stayed in medical due to a severe wound on his neck. He needed cleaning up before surgery & I was asked if I could help.

Milo was covered in filth and had a large wound, which was infected, on his neck,  believed to be caused by an embedded collar.

Dog Guy Foundation’s work at the shelter involves a lot of work with the medical team. From dogs with skin conditions needing medicated baths, which is a very common occurrence or flea baths (which are actually surprisingly rare) to severely matted dogs in need of sedated grooming to dogs in need of wound care.

Thanks to Dog Guy Foundation I was able to wash off the filth and rinse the wound and hopefully help wash away some of the pain & suffering of his past before he started his new life.

Despite the severity of his infected wound and the pain and discomfort he must have been in (even while on pain meds) Milo was so brave and the sweetest boy. Thanks to the great care by the medical team Milo’s wound healed better that expected and he didn’t need surgery to close it.

He left with a rescue soon after his neuter surgery.
