Addison #57942 March 25th 2019

Addison #57942 Monday March 25th was a day of tiny seniors. I felt so bad for them, tiny neglected and alone. I wanted to take them all home but there was one in particular that caught my eye, and my heart. A tiny10 year old, 7lb ball of matted hair and a little pink tongue that hung out because he didn’t have any front teeth.

A big part of my job is to take pictures to show the process and the transformation but I took way too many pics of this little guy! I thought he was just so cute like a real life teddy bear. I sent a couple of pics to my roommate and joked that I wanted to put him in my pocket (& take hime home) she responded with ‘DO IT!!!!!!!!’…….and the rest is history as they say!

I spoke to adoptions and said that I was interested in maybe fostering or possibly adopting, not sure if I was ready to make that commitment but the adoption councilors said that he had been pre-adopted. I was disappointed, but thought oh well it’s probably for the best. The next day though, the adopter failed to show up to finalize the adoption so Addison was made available again & by Wednesday me & my roommate were bringing him home with us.

I think of the name Addison as more of a girls name and that along with the pink collar he’d been given at the shelter meant everyone kept calling him she/her but I kept the name because I grew up on Addison road and felt like it was just meant to be.

Now this little old man puppy is living the life of comfort and getting spoiled rotten. Thank you ACC for my baby.
