Jordan, Sweet 11 yr old Jordan was surrendered to Manhattan ACC because his owner said her children are sick and are allergic to him. She said she was too overwhelmed with her children’s health to give proper care for Jordan. 

  If you know someone who is having difficulty caring for their pet,  please tell them to contact the ACC who can find resources available that will enable you (if at all possible) to keep your dog and give them the care they need. 

  The owner also said that Jordan had some kind of issue with his liver and had been on medication but it had run out and that he hadn’t seen a vet in over a year. Although the vet didn’t find anything wrong with Jordan’s liver during his exam he did have slight abnormalities with his blood work and was found to have dry eye which was what caused the build-up of hardened discharge around his eyes. Luckily Dog Guy Foundation was able to give Jordan a bath and remove the uncomfortable debris that can cause further damage to the under eye area and after his ID hold was up he was pulled by a rescue who had the resources to do further testing and take better care of his needs.
